Richard Evans

Richard Evans - Start them young ! Richard's car

Richard started competing in hillclimbs and sprints in the 1980s and started racing in the MG Car Club's BCV8 championship in the early 90s. He unfortunately had a serious road accident in 1994 which left him 40mm shorter. ( He doesn't say from which end !), this effectively paused his racing until 2000, when he returned & started competing in the MGCC Phoenix Championship and the Millers Thoroughbred Sports Car Championship in an MGB. 2001 saw Richard competing in the MGCC's MGF Cup. ( He does appear to be a bit of an MG fan !). Prior to starting to race with FISC his only Midget race was in Donington - it snowed.
Regular FISC fans will know, that we had to cancel a race at the Nürburgring due to snow.
I'm sure Richard will fit in well with us. he has the right experience ! Welcome to the club Richard - Let the spinning begin !

Richard's Car
A MkIII Midget. It was bought by Richard as a "standard" Halfords race car.
It is currently getting a 'work-over' to try to make it a little quicker & will be raced with a 1380 cc engine, a 45 Weber with SCCR box and LSD. At the moment it is all white, but will be repainted.
