Harald-Armin Sailer

Harald Sailer The Sailer's replacement Sebring Sprite

Harald is the brother of that other well known German racing driver Michael Schumacher Heinz-Harald Frentzen Nick Heidfeld Norman. If you are not sure who Norman is read the previous page.
Both Harald & Norman drive the same car. Not at the same time though. They usually enter the FISC race series with one car and share the driving.
Harald started racing during the 1999 season and so doesn't quite have the experience that his brother has. He has also smashed up much fewer bonnets.
Even when it is not his race weekend Harald is usually at the circuit & is often accompanied by his wife, Jenny, & their young son, Leonard.
Maybe it's the FISC food, since in his own words " I am living proof that a racing Sprite can carry a large weight". Another of us "Chunky, Cuddley" racing drivers.
He would lke to thank Rae Davis of GB Performance for the "outstanding support work" on their car & especially Cameron ( One of Rae's guys) for looking after him.

Harald's Car
A standard open Midget silhouette. This car is shown on the Norman Sailer page since it is shared by the Sailer brothers.
I should however point out that they also drive one of Rae's own cars, when theirs is being "worked on" & not quite race ready. The car they use is an Ex-Malcolm Self Sebring Sprite Coupe copy (Picture above). The car was originally built by Malcolm & then ended up in Rae's hands. This is an almost completely fibreglass car ( as you could see after high speed Nordschleife shunt). Where the sills & scuttle "hoop" are the only steel exterior pannels. It runs a 1380cc engine and is ( unfortunately ) very quick.
